"Be blessed, and be a blessing!"
James Clark Manser, 48, of Oneida went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 16, 2007 after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving family and friends.
Jim was born February 21, 1959 in Oneida, the third son of Daniel L. and Shirley Clark Manser. Jim was united in marriage with his high school sweetheart, Patricia Hopkins on October 29, 1982 in Oneida, a union that was blessed with two beautiful daughters.
Jim graduated from Oneida High School and attended Mohawk Valley Community College before joining the family business, Daniel Manser Contracting Corp., of which he was President at the time of his passing. As an Elder and Worship Leader in his church, Jim was a vibrant member of the Christian community, whose life goal was to lead people to know the love of Jesus Christ, our Saviour. Jim is survived by his beloved wife Patti, two daughters Kimberly E. and Katelyn E., both at home; his loving mother Shirley of Oneida; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Steven and Nancy of Oneida, David of San Diego, CA; Larry and Kelly of Oneida, favorite sister Karen and her partner Karla of Oneida; father-in-law Stephen Johnson of Ohio, three brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law, Mike and Colleen Hopkins, David Hopkins, Peter Hopkins, all of Oneida; Theresa and Steve Crawford, and Laura Nolan, all of Munnsville; several aunts and uncles including Edna Clark of Oneida; and eight nieces and nephews, Matt and Josh Manser, Candy Sue Hopkins, Nicholas and Christopher Hopkins, Steven Crawford and his fiancé Nicole Wickens, Jacob Crawford and Branden Johnson and numerous cousins. Jim was predeceased by his father on July 9, 2003.
A special thanks to all of the angels at Oneida Healthcare Center and to Dr. Graziano and Dr. Wight and their staffs for their belief in Jim’s fight. Donations may be made to the James C. Arrangements are under the care of the Campbell-Dean Funeral Home. Calling hours will be Thursday 2-4pm and 7-9pm at the New Hope Christian Community Church, 350 West Road, Oneida with funeral services on Friday at 10:30am. Services will follow at the family plot in Glenwood Cemetery.
